Words from Westmoreland: Have you pledged yet?

Have you pledged yet?

We Christians are strange people in the world.  We care for each other, for strangers, even for enemies.  We offer grace and welcome to all people.  We know that God has proclaimed all creation good; we know that Christ, lifted up, embraces all people.  We know there is love enough for all and resources enough for all, so we don’t give in to the doomsayers and demagogues.  We know the true hope, compassion, and care that can change lives, communities, and the world.  We proclaim and work to make real God’s justice grounded in the love we experience in our worship, prayer, conversations, study, and service.  We laugh together; we cry together; we raise our children together; we face together the possibilities and challenges of every stage of life.

We call all of this “church.”  If you believe that what Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church does is important, then please support it financially.  Our operating budget is the engine that drives our holy work in the world.

Our Generosity Campaign in support of the 2025 mission and ministry budget is drawing toward its close, and, if you haven’t yet pledged, we need to hear from you.  You should have received a pledge card, but more are available at the church.  You can also pledge online at www.glennumc.org/plege.

I also hope you will be here October 6 for our Celebration Sunday with lunch from The Varsity and Moe’s.

With gratitude,
Mark
