United Women in Faith

United Women in Faith (formerly United Methodist Women) is a national organization whose purpose is to develop supportive and creative fellowship, foster spiritual growth, advocate for social justice, and expand concepts of missions through participation in the global ministries of the church. The collective members of UWF raise nearly $25 million each year for programs and projects related to women, children and youth in the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.

Glenn has five UWF “circles,” listed below, which are small groups of women who meet monthly for fellowship, study, prayer, and discussions. All are welcome. Contact UWF President, Jane St. Clair.

United Women in Faith Circles at Glenn

Are you looking for a group of women who pray for each other and support each other while learning about God and doing service to God? Consider joining a United Women in Faith Circle.  Did you know that Glenn has five active United Women in Faith Circles?

Esther Circle
First Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in a member’s home.  We share time together with a devotional or short program.  We are known as the “card circle”, sending get-well, general greetings, sympathy, and other cards to church members, particularly our older adults. Contact Carolyn Knight (carolynuknight@gmail.com).

Naomi Circle
Third Tuesday of the month from noon until 2 p.m. in the Youth and Activities Building (YAAB).  We study and discuss books chosen by the circle. Multi-generational.

Lydia Prayer Shawl Circle

All ages are welcome to knit and crochet prayer shawls. We make shawls for Glenn high school graduates and deliver them in early August each year. Multi-generational. Contact Carolyn Gilbert (mcbgilbert@att.net).
