Supporting Wellroot's Christmas 2022 Wish List

Formerly known as The United Methodist Children’s Home, for 150 years, Wellroot Family Services has been leading the effort to transform the lives of children and families in Georgia. Through their four programs, Wellroot cares for and encourages the growth and healing of children, young adults and families in and affected by the foster care system of Georgia.  Wellroot envisions a world where every child is raised in a loving, compassionate, and nurturing home.  The Glenn Memorial congregation has been partnering with Wellroot through the years – from hosting foster parenting information sessions to donating pumpkins from our Glenn Youth pumpkin patch for Fall fun, donations of moving boxes and clothing racks from our Glenn School for Young Children clothing sale supplies and the annual ‘mitten tree’ winter coat & clothing donation drive.  Again this year, all are invited to include Wellroot in your Christmas shopping during November for new, unwrapped toys, clothing, electronics, and gift cards  for children, teens, and young adults and dropped off or shipped to the church offices by November 30th.     To join with our FriendShip Group of older adult (and more!) volunteers sorting the Christmas gifts on Thursday, December 1, from 1-3pm at the Wellroot Tucker office, sign up with Rev. Susan Pinson spinson@glennumc.org.
