It's Officially Advent Season at Glenn: A Poem from Rev. Susan!

It is December 1st and officially Advent & Christmas season!

After a difficult year, we are all looking forward to this long-awaited season of hope and joy. From our bleak midwinter service on grief and hope, to the joyous outdoor walk through Nativity–there is truly something for every person and every family. You are invited to come exactly as you are and reconnect with the peace and hope of God in this special season.

See our full list of events this Advent & Christmas season here.

A poem by our very own Rev. Susan Pinson:

“‘Twas the month before Christmas and covid still looms.
But with vaxxes & masks, we've learned to manage the doom.
So the calendars are filling with traditions we've missed,
But with each invitation comes mitigated risks.
Santa and snowmen; holiday lights that delight,
(Despite the smiling photos, our kids (& grownups!) still fight...)
So bring on the cookies, the gifts, and the carols we'll sing,
But be sure our lists make room for the tiny newborn King!
Food for those hungry and nativity plays,
While there was no room at the Inn, we do hope YOU will come & stay!
Glenn Church is still here, even in the pandemic,
Come and share your faith journey, to each one authentic.
Whether old or young, there's a place for you here,
The promise of Christ's hope, peace, joy, love -- TRUE holiday cheer!”
