3,000 blankets and counting!
The Linus Project provides blankets to CHOA Children's Hospital, Dekalb County & Decatur City Police, and the Department of Family and Children Services to give comfort to children in the hospital or in a crisis situation. The Dekalb Chapter of the Linus Project recently met for a workday in our Youth & Activities Building.
At the workday, they cut 100 blankets for completion and packaged up another 100 blankets ready for distribution. One of the members also gave crochet lessons! Over the past 2 years, the Dekalb Chapter has provided over 3,000 blankets to children in need within our community.
