You are invited to join, in person or by Zoom, an experiential Lenten study of prayer beginning this Wednesday evening, February 21. We’ll begin our time together with an optional meal at 5:30, then spend an hour hearing the words of great spiritual teachers, reflecting on the Penitential Psalms, and even singing a bit. At the heart of our experience, the Rev. Dr. Don Saliers will introduce a variety of prayer practices that will enrich our lives during Lent and beyond. We’ll close at 7 p.m.
We will gather in Room 208 of the Church School Building for our sessions. Please register for the course and the optional dinners at bit.ly/lent-dinners-2024. For a Zoom link, email mwestmoreland@glennumc.org.
Don Saliers is a wonderful blessing to Glenn as an active leader of the New Class and a wonderful presence in our worship, both in the pew and chancel. The William R. Cannon Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Theology and Worship, Don is a celebrated authority on church music, liturgics, and theology and brings to his work a gracious pastoral presence. We’re sure you will find his insights and spiritual direction valuable and accessible.
If you have any questions, contact the Rev. Mark Westmoreland at mwestmoreland@glennumc.org or call the church office.
