Prayer from Rev. Susan for Kids @ Glenn (and their grown-ups) this summer:
May you have more snuggle time than screentime; more laughter than tears.
May the grass stains wash out, but the memories remain.
May you hear rich stories from the elderly, whether family or church friends.
May you delight in the giggles of babies, whether church friends or family.
I pray the stars point your soul to heaven and the fireflies inspire you to never stop shining God's light.
May the sweetness of watermelon and ice cream remind you of the goodness of God,
And your creativity blossom as you discover, create, and invent.
I pray your curiosity is piqued and you ask questions about Jesus, our faith, our lives;
(And may families' schedules & motivation align that you stop by Sunday School and Worship to find the answers and peace we all seek together!)
May your popsicles melt slowly but your tired meltdowns pass quickly!
I pray you dance every time you hear music that speaks to your soul and you laugh every time you feel joy that delights you.
May hugs & kisses outnumber your fusses & whines;
May deep sleep come without struggle and each morning bring renewed energy and spirits of adventure.
May the worries of this world and your little lives be covered in prayers and you feel peace and comfort as cozy as your favorite chair.
I pray you find new friends (or connect with old ones!) in summer camp or playgroups or at the pool -- and invite them to join you at Sunday School!
I pray the warmth of the summer sun and the cool of the summer breeze remind you every day how much God loves you.
