Throughout the pandemic, Glenn Church has worked faithfully to protect members of our community from infection. We have followed the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Emory University and have put serious thought and prayer into our protocols for worship and other gatherings.
Now, again following CDC guidelines and Emory University, we are ready to adjust our COVID restrictions.
Beginning Sunday, March 20:
Masks will be optional for services in the Sanctuary, with the balcony and the first five pews in front of the pulpit designated as “masks required.”
Masks will continue to be required for services in the Little Chapel, with plans to loosen restrictions in the weeks ahead.
Children’s ministries will remain primarily outdoors with masks encouraged, while masks will be required for indoor activities for ages two and older (Glenn School protocols are set by the school board).
Masks will be optional for most youth activities. Masks will be required for Youth Choir. Weather permitting, youth meals will continue to be outdoors.
Masks will be optional for adult small groups, Sunday school classes, committee meetings, etc., depending upon the needs of each group.
Masks will still be required on church buses.
If you have COVID symptoms, please wear a mask or stay home, and be sure to take a COVID test before participating unmasked.
Our 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. worship services will continue to be live-streamed, and we will always let you know of virtual options for other ministries.
We will, of course, continue to stay vigilant, watching infection and hospitalization rates, and following science.
Thank you, Glenn Church, for your faithfulness through these two years and for caring so well for each other and our neighbors.
