Loving God, Loving Neighbor

Glenn School for Young Children

Glenn School for Young Children is unique, not only because of our approach to learning, but because of what else we can offer to the family and child:
  • Counselor on staff
  • A music specialist
  • An art instructor
  • Emergent literacy curriculum starting at age two, which includes dictation dramatization activities
  • A low teacher/child ratio
  • Team teaching (2 teachers in every class)
  • Parapros in the baby through 2 year olds rooms in addition to the teachers
We are still accepting applications for 2014-2014 school year.  We operate rolling admissions with  spaces currently available on a first come, first serve basis.  For more information, or to arrange a tour, please contact our Director, Cherry Payne cherryp@glennumc.org.

Scholarships

Glenn School for Young Children offers a Financial Assistance program based on financial need for children entering Threes, PreK and Kindergarten classes, which is funded by proceeds from the Glenn Sale and the Friendship Fund. To assure fairness and equity in administering the program, each interested family is required to submit a request for assistance. Applications are available in the school office.

The Glenn Sale

Glenn School for Young Children sponsors a consignment every spring and fall - The Glenn Sale.  Money raised by the sale enriches our school's curriculum and funds scholarships.   Each student's family is asked to volunteer a minimum of two 3-hour shifts each sale.  Our sale is a wonderful service to the community.  It provides low cost, good quality children's clothing and supplies, our sellers benefit from selling their gently used children's items, and many unsold items are donated to various charities in the Atlanta area.
